Earthcare Services
We provide full-service ecological restoration and stewardship for wild spaces, human spaces, and the places that we share:
Restoring existing wild spaces: streams, wetlands, forests, meadows, prairies
Converting lawn and other degraded spaces to prairie, meadow, forest, etc. (sometimes funded by PA DCNR)
Designing, installing, and/or maintaining land care projects
Managing stormwater and controlling erosion through hardscaping, rain gardens, drainage basin planting, etc.
Creating multi-year and inter-generational master plans for spaces (conservation and succession planning)
Consulting and project management with 3rd parties
Educating communities, organizations, landowners, and schools in ecological principles
Documenting ecosystem health and biodiversity (e.g. plant communities) including research and reporting
Invasive, non-native plant removal
Installing edible native landscapes e.g. food forests (permaculture)
Rapidly reforesting areas via the Miyawaki method
Assessing and building soil health
Strategy development for agricultural spaces including implementing regenerative practices, silvopasture, rotational grazing, and native hay fields, planting hedgerows, cover cropping, mulching, biochar, rock dust etc.
Building trail systems
Native plant habitat restoration
Plant sourcing (including local ecotypes)
