Hi, I’m Tyler K.

I’m a passionate, full-service healer for people and planet.

My approach to healing is holistic and recognizes the intricate connection between individual well-being and the health of our planet. My services are rooted in ancient wisdom traditions, supplemented by modern knowledge, and guided by a deep sense of connection to the Earth.

I empower individuals to embrace a lifestyle that not only nurtures their own vitality but also contributes to the flourishing of our shared home, Earth.

A little about me..

I might have mentioned I’m a full-service healer.. I’ve been described as a master herbalist, functional medicine practitioner, nutrition expert, personal trainer, medical biologist, ecologist, land steward, druid, wisdom keeper, anthropologist, counselor, life coach, clinician, kamasqa curandero, scientist, and native habitat manager.

How did I get here?

My Earth Care Journey

I grew up in an urban environment yet I’ve been appreciating and stewarding nature since I could walk. I started my first garden when I was 5, dividing plants growing in my neighborhood and densely planting them around a pond I dug when I was 8. Since then, I’ve have taken every chance I get to learn more about nature and the intricate relationships of life on Earth.

I earned a Bachelor’s at Drexel University where I studied the vast field of biological sciences and worked as a ecology researcher in SE Pennsylvania and New Jersey. It’s here where my love for reading scientific literature started; I still read hundreds of papers a year to stay up to date in my fields. I even worked for the largest aggregators of scientific literature helping mobilize research to impact society in beneficial ways.

I am a fellow of the Sierra Club and have worked for large, multinational conservation groups such as Sea Shepherd and Fin Free. After a decade of large-scale conservation work, I learned that the best thing we can do to directly support the health of our earth is to take care of the land that we live on. So, I refocused my efforts to steward land in my community’s backyards.

I completed the Land Stewardship training program at the Horn Farm Center where I learned how to partner with nature in practical ways to steward the land.

I now work with individual land owners, HOA communities, nonprofits, conservation groups, and municipalities to increase biodiversity and healthy ecosystems. Finding accessible ways to enable everyone to take care of our planet is a passion of mine and I often host community workshops.

My Healthcare Provider Journey

I started my healthcare provider journey at the tender age of 16 when I became a volunteer firefighter and medical first responder. Working with the 911 system as the first medical responder for emergencies taught me a lot about how to help people manage their health effectively. Each day I saw first-hand the many ways our medical system fails to empower and heal.

I arrived at college quite weary of the medical system but eager to learn as much as possible. I completed a rigorous program at Drexel University where I studied and conducted research in human biology, biochemistry, ecology, psychology, and anthropology. I left with an extremely thorough understanding of how our bodies function as ecosystems and learned (probably too much) about all the molecular reactions and systems that sustain us. I also gained new perspectives on how our environment deeply effects our health.

After I left college, I worked for the largest publishers and aggregators of scientific and medical literature for 7+ years. I read thousands of papers and worked on some really cool projects in clinical and scientific analytics. One of my team’s goals was to improve patient outcomes by enabling healthcare providers to deliver better care. I worked with countless doctors, nurses, and other medical practitioners to solve some of the biggest challenges facing our healthcare system.

Alongside this journey, I started my first apprenticeship in herbal healing over 12 years ago. Since then, I’ve been mentored by many ethnobotanists and herbalists around the world. I’ve completed programs at the School of Evolutionary Herbalism and learned a ton from Sajah Popham, Yarrow Willard, Ross Heaven, Matthew Wood, Susun Weed, and countless others.

My unique superpower is a deep understanding of how clinical herbalism works with our intricate body systems to heal us. I am able to relay this information from both eastern and western perspectives; I speak the languages of doctor, researcher, and holistic healthcare worker. Enabling you to coordinate care with other providers is important to me, so I provide context for medical doctors, acupuncturists, and others.

My Spiritual Care Journey

I was born on the path of the wounded healer, facing many challenges in early life. As I navigated the trials with generous support from the unseen realms, I was drawn towards mysticism, self-discovery, and transformation.

Even in elementary school, animism, altars, music, connecting with nature spirits, and altered states of consciousness became engrained in my routine. I often found myself holding space for others and felt a constant yearning to bridge the mystical with the tangible, the spiritual with the earthly. Being in service of others on their journey of spiritual healing has been a lifelong passion of mine.

As a child I felt at home in spiritual environments and attended every cultural event I could in my quite diverse hometown. Wisdom emanated from the similarities across different spiritual practices and I eagerly integrated them into my life.

When I arrived at college, my shift of focus towards cultivating a vocation spread throughout my spiritual world as well. I quickly connected with mentors who provided me with a welcoming roadmap via wisdom traditions.

Since then, I’ve apprenticed in sacred shamanic and druidic arts with many wonderful teachers - human, plant, animal, and otherwise. I am a humble steward of ancient wisdom and act as a mediator between the spirit world and material plane. I offer guidance, insight, and healing to those seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their place within the web of existence.

I am an initiate and carrier of two lineages of wisdom traditions and ceremonial arts: the Pachakuti Mesa and the Dún Mór Druid Order. I often host community ceremonies and retreats to honor our connection to nature + spirit.

The restoration of harmony with the natural world is central to my practice. With reverence for the ancestral knowledge that guides me, I am committed to creating a safe and sacred space for those who embark on this transformative journey. My mission is to empower you to reclaim your innate wisdom and navigate the currents of your spiritual path.
